Fucking wife and mil

Description:FIL usually never has any shit to say, but he started telling my wife that ever since she met me, she has been avoiding her family. I haven't done anything unkind to my in-laws in quite some time, so imagine my surprise when she just got off the phone fighting with them about me. I want my wife to feel better, but her family needs to get a grip and understand that their judgment is what keeps me from wanting to be anywhere near them. They're still trying to find ways to guilt us into coming over, but why the fuck should I do that? I wasn't shown warmth as a kid, and I went through some things that made me to where I have a hard time loving or trusting anybody. We have put ourselves out helping them with their problems, and my wife said she's done.
